पथराव और मारपीट के बीच यूपी में पहले चरण का मतदान संपन्न, 64 फीसदी रिकार्ड वोट पड़े!

उत्तर प्रदेश विधानसभा चुनावों के पहले चरण में पश्चिमी यूपी के 15 जिलों की कुल 73 सीटों पर शनिवार को छुटपुट घटनाओं के बीच औसतन लगभग 64 प्रतिशत वोट पड़े. जिसे चुनाव आयोग ने ‘अनुकरणीय’ बताया. राज्य के मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी टी. वेंकटेश ने मतदान सम्पन्न होने के बाद देर शाम आयोजित प्रेस कॉफ्रेंस में बताया कि पहले चरण में औसतन करीब 64 प्रतिशत औसत मतदान हुआ. साल 2012 के विधानसभा चुनाव के पहले चरण में 61. 04 प्रतिशत मतदान हुआ था.

राज्य के मुख्य निवार्चन अधिकारी टी़ वेंकटेश ने मतदान खत्म होने के बाद बताया कि गौतमबुद्धनगर की तीन सीटों पर 59.17 और गाजियाबाद की पांच सीटों पर 58.10 फीसदी मतदान हुआ. वर्ष 2012 में गौतमबुद्धनगर में 57.16 और गाजियाबाद में 58.78 फीसदी मतदान हुआ था. टी वेंकटेश ने बताया कि आगरा में 63.88, अलीगढ़ में 64.66, बागपत में 64.99, बुलंदशहर में 64.65, एटा में 64.93, फिरोजाबाद में 63.59, हापुड़ में 65.67, हाथरस में 64.10, कासगंज  में 64.83, मथुरा में 65.39, मेरठ में 66.00, मुजफ्फरनगर में 65.50 और शामली में 67.12% मतदान हुआ.

शाम 5 बजे तक मतदान केन्द्र में आने वालों को भी वोट डालने दिया गया :

टी वेंकटेश ने बताया कि पहले चरण में मतदाताओं ने काफी जोश-ओ-खरोश से मतदान किया. आयोग के निर्देशों के अनुसार जो भी मतदाता शाम पांच बजे तक मतदान केन्द्र में उपस्थित हुआ, उसे वोट डालने दिया गया.

छुटपुट घटनाएं भी हुई :

मतदान केन्द्रों पर सुबह से ही मतदाताओं की लम्बी-लम्बी कतारें देखी गयीं. मतदान के दौरान कुछ जगहों से झड़पें होने की खबरें मिली हैं. बागपत से प्राप्त रिपोर्ट के अनुसार शहर की बाघू कालोनी में दो समुदायों के बीच एक समुदाय को मतदान से रोकने की कोशिश किये जाने तथा मतदान पर्चियां छीने जाने पर आपस में पथराव तथा मारपीट हुई. इस घटना में 10 लोग घायल हो गये. मौके पर पहुंची पुलिस ने सभी घायलों को अस्पताल पहुंचाया. पहले चरण के चुनाव में एक करोड़ 17 लाख महिलाओं समेत कुल दो करोड़ 60 लाख 17 हजार 81 मतदाता थे. मतदान के लिये 14 हजार 514 केन्द्र और 26 हजार 823 मतदान स्थल बनाये गये थे. उत्तर प्रदेश में 11 फरवरी से आठ मार्च के बीच सात चरणों में मतदान होगा.
